Matt Jackson is a production designer, and set and prop stylist, based in New York City. He specializes in collaborations with fine artists working in fashion photography, advertising, films and events.
Matt studied scenography for theater and opera in Victoria, Canada. Upon graduation Matt founded a theater company in Toronto, working as their resident designer until 2009 when he moved into fashion and advertising. Since moving his studio to Manhattan in 2011 he has worked with brands from Kenzo to Uniqlo to Calvin Klein and publications from Dazed and Confused to Vogue. Frequently collaborators include artists such as Roe Ethridge, Marilyn Minter, Ryan McGinley and Toiletpaper.
Matt is known for building involved and considered worlds, from the details of the micro still life, to large scale interactive installations, to site-specific interventions in the style of the Land Artists.
